EcoStardust 2nd Birthday Glitter Party!

Happy Birthday to EcoStardust, another year of being covered in glitter, being eco-warriors and pushing the business forward to tell people about using biodegradable glitter so they can #glitterwithoutthelitter - what a year it's been!

Held in the beautiful Radnor Rooms in the centre of town, it was a gorgeous venue to have all our nearest and dearest plus Bristol's biggest glitter fans in one place.

Once again, a big thank you to everyone who came along and who helped us and EcoStardust on it's journey to where it is today. Big thanks to Tim Shapcott from Tiki Media for putting together this little video of the evening.
We donate 10% of our profits to charity but the party was in aid of City to Sea, a Bristol based charity who stop plastic at source. £1 of every ticket sale and all proceeds from our raffle went directly to them and we were delighted to raise over £250 for their cause.
As well as raising money for a worthy cause, and celebrating our birthday we also used the party as an excuse to launch our amazing new recipe of biodegradable glitter - PURE.
Our Pure Range is made from Cosmetic Bioglitter® PURE and is the world’s first glitter which is 100% plastic free, certified biodegradable in the natural environment and verified Microplastic Free. Based on natural materials. We're really proud to launch 6 new blends and be one of the first glitter retailers to stock this exciting new product. To showcase the Pure colours, and our new blends we had Panda (a local body painter) covering a model with glitter.

So obviously, we had glitter artists to get everyone suitably sparkly - it wouldn't have been a glitter party otherwise! Sarah and Bendy worked their magic and made everyone look fabulous with their incredible glitter designs.

As ever, the glitter mixing station had a big queue as everyone was keen to get involved and make their own glitter mix. We had 2 stations - one with the original biodegradable glitter - Shine, and one with the new Pure colours. Meaning guests could choose from 64 different colours and sizes - phew! We'll be launching the results of the blend competition soon so watch this space!

As it's festival season coming up, and we LOVE festivals, it only seemed fitting that guests get to see some of the finest festival fashion... Kiss My Disco came with her clothes rack full of super sequins and holographic sparkly boob tubes, and Pluma UK were there with their fabulous headdresses and pom pom earrings.
We also had a table dedicated to our Glitter Amnesty - whereby people donate their non-Bioglitter®, the traditional plastic stuff and it gets turned into fabulous jewellery using upcycled surfboard resin, through a collaboration we have with Rochfort Customs. Click here for more details.

And saving the best till last we had talks from some of our environmental heroes -
Libby Bowles from Tread Lighter who used her inspiring work as a marine biologist to teach children across the world about reducing their plastic and how it affects our world.. she even bought her amazing bamboo bike which she's cycled across New Zealand and Africa on!

Laura Try; who completed the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Rowing Competition last year - an amazing feat, especially as her and 4 other were the first all female team to win. We were really proud to see EcoStardust glitter on their faces in the photos of when they crossed the finish line, despite having barely any space to take personal belongings!
Thank you everyone who came to the party, but also thank you to everyone who has bought our litter glitter tins, had our glitter artists glittering at your event, used our products in your work, spoken to us in a muddy festival field or even spread the word about environmental issues to someone who is otherwise unconvinced.
We love you all, and couldn't do it without you.
Lots of love, EcoStardust.
